The United States on Thursday demanded “responses” from Israel after dozens of people died while trying to get aid in Gaza and described the situation as “desperate”.
“We have been in contact with the Israeli government since this morning and we understand that an investigation is underway. “We will follow this investigation closely and press for answers,” State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters.
““We are urgently seeking additional information about what exactly happened,” added the spokesperson, who offered his condolences to the families of the dead.
The spokesperson urged Israel to authorize “as many access points as possible and allow for the safe distribution of this aid throughout the Gaza Strip.” Link”.
