Tragedy in Bangladesh: at least 44 dead in fire in building in the capital

At least 44 people died and dozens were injured on Thursday in the fire of a seven-story building in an exclusive neighborhood of Dhakathe capital of Bangladeshindicated the authorities.

Fires in apartment buildings or factories are frequent in Bangladesh due to the lack of rigor in terms of safety rules.

In July 2021, at least 52 people died, including many children, when a food factory caught fire.

In February 2019, 70 people died in apartment building fires.
