Palestine asks Security Council to condemn deaths during aid distribution in Gaza

The Palestinian ambassador to UN he pleaded on Thursday to security advice which condemned the death of dozens of people in Link then, a chaotic episode during a food distribution operation in Gaza.

If the Security Council has “courage and determination to prevent these massacres from happening again, what we need is a ceasefire”, stated Mansour.

The Security Council met urgently on Thursday afternoon, behind closed doors, to discuss the morning’s events in the north of the country. Linkasked by Algeria.

Thursday’s incident added to a Palestinian death toll that the Gaza Health Ministry said had exceeded 30,000, mainly women and children.

The war started in October 7th with an unprecedented attack by Hamas against Israel that caused the death of around 1,160 people, most of them civilians, according to Israeli data.
