The armed man who took 17 passengers hostage on a bus parked in Rio de Janeiro’s main terminal on Tuesday, after injuring two other people with gunfire, handed himself in to the police after almost three hours of kidnapping, official sources reported.
“I can inform you that the incident is over, that the man who took the hostages has surrendered and is being held, and that all hostages have been released.“, said the spokesperson for the Rio Military Police, Colonel Marco Andradein statements to the press.
