‘Completely false’ rumor: Prince William’s alleged mistress denies relationship with Kate Middleton’s husband

Since 2019, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley has been the subject of numerous rumors about an alleged extramarital affair with Prince William. In Business Insider columns, Sarah Rose Hanbury spoke out through her lawyers, publishing a rebuttal in which she insists the theory is “completely false.”

This mother of three, married since 2009, is a former top model who mixes with the same circles as the British royal family. A close friend of Prince William and Kate Middleton, she attended their wedding in 2011. According to rumors that surfaced in the spring of 2019, she and William began an extramarital relationship while Kate was pregnant with Louis, her third child.

The rumors were denied and then resumed

Even then, these theories were quickly refuted by Richard Kay, a Daily Mail journalist and expert on the royal family. According to him, Prince William and Kate Middleton even wanted to file a complaint to stop these rumors. The couple eventually changed their minds after the tabloids provided no evidence.

However, these theories continued. In 2022, for example, American tabloids declared that these extramarital affairs were “an open secret.” Kate Middleton’s recent absence of many weeks, as well as her abdominal surgery in January and the scandal surrounding her photoshopped photo, have helped revive the rumor, prompting Sarah Rose Hanbury to break her silence. Kensington Palace, however, declined to comment.
