The Venezuelan attorney general, Tarek William Saabreported this Wednesday the arrest of Henrique Alviáreznational coordinator of Sell Venezuela (VV), formation of the opposition leader Maria Corina Machadofor his alleged connection with violent plans related to the July 28 presidential elections.
In addition to Alviárezthe police arrested the former deputy Dignora Hernandezalso a VV activist, for planning “violent actions” for “strength” the registration of Machado’s candidacy, who was elected in the primaries as standard-bearer of the main opposition coalition, but is disqualified from running due to sanction from the Comptroller’s Office.
