Spain: a member of the terrorist group Sendero Luminoso is arrested at Madrid airport

The police of Spain detained at the Madrid Barajas airport a member of the Peruvian terrorist organization Sendero Luminoso, claimed by the authorities of the Andean country and on whom a search and arrest warrant was placed in order to be extradited.

The last arrest in Spain of a member of Shining Path, a terrorist organization that has killed thousands of people in Peru since the 1980s, also occurred in 2019 in Madrid.

The arrested woman was then a woman wanted by the Peruvian authorities for her relationship with events that occurred in 1999 in Lima, in which seven people died.
