Shooting in a US bar leaves a woman dead and at least 14 injured

A woman died and at least 14 other people were injured in a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at a bar in the city of Saint Paul, the capital of Minnesota (USA), reported the local police.

The Police Department of St.Paul It indicated in a statement that so far there are no detainees for this fact, the causes and authors of which are grounds for investigation.

According to the Police, their units went to a crowded bar in the city shortly after midnight, where they found a “chaotic scene” with 15 people wounded by gunshots.

One of them, a woman in her 20s whose identity was not immediately revealed, died at the scene, while 14 other people were taken to hospitals in the area for treatment.

Police indicated that all the injured are expected to “survive.”

The chief of the Police of that locality, Todd Axtell, indicated that the people who were chatting in the bar, “in an instant, found themselves trapped in a hellish situation.”

“We will not stop until we find those responsible for this madness”, Axtell added.

Preliminary information indicates that there were “several” attackers with firearms.

The statement said the motive for the shooting “has not yet been determined.”

With the death of the woman, the homicides that have occurred in that city so far this year have risen to 32, the police added.
