The PUD confirmed the “provisional” registration of Eduardo González Urrutiabut clarified that his elected candidacy could not be registered.

“In this sense, given the manifest impossibility of registering the candidacy chosen so far by democratic factors, to continue fighting for it and guarantee the registration of said candidacy and remain within the electoral path, We decided to provisionally register the President of the Board of Directors of the Democratic Unity Party, citizen Edmundo González Urrutiato preserve the exercise of political rights that correspond to our political organization until we are able to register our unitary candidacy.”
