United States: a young man arrested after stabbing four people to death in Illinois

A 22-year-old man was arrested this Wednesday after stabbing four people to death, including a minor, and injuring five others in Illinois (U.S).

The police of Rockford received several alert calls about injured people in different parts of the city, the CBS news network reported.

Officers arrested a 22-year-old suspect who allegedly broke into a home and injured several people nearby.

The fatal victims were a minor under 15 years old, a 63-year-old woman, a 49-year-old man and a 22-year-old young man.

In addition, another person was seriously injured and four others suffered minor injuries that were treated at a hospital.

Police are interrogating the suspect and do not yet know the motive for the attack.
