A group of police officers Ecuador stormed the Mexican embassy in Quito this Friday and allegedly detained the former vice president Jorge Glaswho had been there since last December waiting for the processing of an asylum request, granted this Friday by the Mexican Government.
EFE was able to verify that several police officers climbed the walls and fences of the diplomatic headquarters and then abandoned that residence, which was heavily guarded by the military from the beginning, at a time of tension between the two governments.
