Ukraine claims to have destroyed 4 S-400 missile launchers in attack on Russian base in Crimea

Ukraine managed to destroy 4 missile launchers from an S-400 anti-aircraft system, three radar stations, a control point and aerospace surveillance equipment in its Wednesday morning attack against a military airfield Russian of Crimea, according to Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR) reported this Thursday.

The airfield attacked by the GUR – which did not specify the type of weapons used in this attack on the Russian rear – is located in the city of Dzhankoi, located in the north of the Ukrainian peninsula occupied by Russia since 2014.

Russian Telegram channels reported explosions at the airfield on Wednesday.

A group of Ukrainian partisans operating in Crimea and identify themselves as Atesh, yesterday claimed their contribution to the attack without giving further details so as not to compromise those involved.

In his address to the nation last night, President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the Army for the “precision” demonstrated in the attack on the airfield. Zelensky He specifically congratulated Army Chief Oleksandr Sirski “for organizing this operation.”
