“Happy ninth birthday, Princess Charlotte!” Thank you for all the kind messages today,” the Princess of Wales wrote on the official account of the princely family. Smiling and surrounded by flowers, young Charlotte appears in a denim skirt and raspberry pink cardigan.

Every year, Kate Middleton posts a unique portrait of her children in honor of their birthdays. On April 23, she posted a photo of Prince Louis, the world’s youngest, celebrating his 6th birthday. Last July it was a photo of George, the eldest of the siblings, on his 10th birthday.
Most recently, Prince and Princess of Wales William and Kate celebrated their wedding anniversary by posting a black and white photo with the caption, “Thirteen years ago today.”
Princess Kate, who has not been seen in public since Christmas, revealed in a video in late March that she had cancer without specifying its nature, and explained that she had started preventative chemotherapy, citing “a huge shock.”
Prince William, heir to the British crown, resumed his public activities in mid-April by visiting a food aid association. He made his first appearance at Villa Park in Birmingham to watch the match between Aston Villa and Lille with his eldest son George a week earlier.
