Baltimore: Body of fifth victim found after accident on Francis Scott Key Bridge

Authorities found the lifeless body of a fifth person missing after the collapse of the baltimore bridge more than a month ago, an accident in which six people died, all Latin Americans.

According to response command, the body was found on Wednesday inside a wrecked truck and corresponds to Miguel Ángel Luna González, 49 years old, who, like the other deceased, was a worker who at the time of the incident was repairing the asphalt of the Bridge.

With this Wednesday’s discovery, so far there are five bodies recovered out of a total of six who died in the event that occurred on March 26, when the freighter Dalí crashed into one of the ship’s columns Francis Scott Key Bridge.

The Unified Response Command, made up of agents from the local police and the Coast Guard, among others, continues to search for the body of José Mynor López, the only one that has yet been found.

“We remain dedicated to ongoing recovery operations, knowing that behind every person missing in this tragedy is a family,” Maryland State Police Superintendent Roland Butler said in a statement.

The six deceased were construction workers who lived in the United States and were originally from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala.
