A Russian air strike on Thursday injured six children and an adult in the town of Dergachi in the northeastern Kharkiv region, the regional governor said.
“As a result of enemy shelling of Dergacha using guided bombs, seven people were injured, including six children,” Oleg Sinegubov reported on Telegram.
“Two of the injured children received minor injuries to their limbs, another four are in a condition of moderate severity. All of them were hospitalized,” the governor added, specifying that the 75-year-old man was treated “on the spot” without hospitalization.
Almost constant fire
The Kharkov region, which borders Russia and much of which was occupied by Moscow’s army at the start of its invasion until Kyiv’s first counter-offensive in the fall of 2022, remains under almost constant fire.
In recent months, Russia has used new and powerful guided bombs, with devastating consequences.
On Wednesday, two civilians in a car were killed when a bomb of this type was dropped by Russian troops in the Kharkov region.
