Egypt condemns Israeli control of the Gaza side of Rafah and calls it a dangerous escalation

The Egyptian Government condemned this Tuesday “in the strongest terms” the Israeli control of the Palestinian border crossing Rafathe only one that was not controlled by Israel and that borders Egyptand considered it a “dangerous climb”.

“Egypt condemned in stronger terms Israeli military operations in the Palestinian city of Rafa and subsequent Israeli control of the Palestinian side of the border crossing Rafa”The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

He considered this move as a “dangerous climb which threatens the lives of more than a million Palestinians who depend on this crossing as their main means of living for the Gaza stripand safe exit for the injured and sick to receive treatment, and for the entry of humanitarian help to the Palestinian brothers in Gaza”is noted in the note.

This statement comes a few hours after the Israeli army confirm having taken control of the Gaza side of the crossing Rafa with tanks, after a night of intense shelling against the east of this southern city.

The North African country also called on Israel to exercise “O maximum moderation and avoid a risky policy that would endanger the fate”of efforts to reach a truce in Link.
