United Arab Emirates (United Arab Emirates), which recognized Israel in 2020, this Saturday he denounced some “statements” by the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahuin which – he said – he appealed to the Arab country to participate in the administration of the Link after the war, and considered that the Israeli “does not have the legal capacity to do so”.
“United Arab Emirates denounces the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahuin an appeal to the (Arab) country to participate in the civil administration of Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli occupation“said the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah bin Zayed, in your official X account.

He highlighted that “Emirates refuses to be involved in any plan aimed at covering the Israeli presence in Link“, according to his message in X, also reproduced by the official Emirates news agency, WAM.
He also emphasized that his country “will be fully prepared to provide all forms of support (…) when a Palestinian government is formed that meets the hopes and aspirations of the brother Palestinian people and enjoy integrity, competence and independence.”
Emirates is one of the main allies of U.S in the Persian Gulf and although it does not have good relations with the Palestinian Islamic group Hamas who expelled the Palestinian National Authority (ANP) in Link in 2007, signed peace with Israel in 2020 thanks to “Abraham Accords”.
From that date United Arab Emirates took important steps towards bringing the Jewish stateespecially in the economic and commercial domains, although their ties have been chilled due to the Israeli war in Linkwho killed around 35,000 inhabitants of the strip.
Bin Zayed received on May 2nd at Abu Dhabi to the leader of the Israeli opposition, Yair Lapidwho highlighted the need to promote “a serious political horizon” to resolve the conflict in Middle Eastand prioritize a ceasefire in Linkat a time when internal and external pressures on Netanyahu.
