Six Palestinians killed and two injured in new Israeli army attack in the West Bank

Six Palestinians died and two were injured, one of them seriously, as a result of an operation by the Israeli army against the village of Kafr DanClose of Jeninin the north of West Bank occupied, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Local sources confirmed to the Palestinian agency Wafa that the clashes broke out after troops infiltrated the city and surrounded the house of a Palestinian family who they later attacked.

He Israeli armyin turn, identifies himself as “terrorists”to four of the dead, located, he guarantees, in“an infrastructure” that he was using in this Palestinian village.

The military located three rifles, a pistol, cartridges and a vehicle containing numerous explosives.. The confiscated weapons were handed over to security forces”, details in a press release.

In its military statement it also confirms that an Army helicopter attacked the area.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its doctors evacuated the bodies of the murdered Palestinians and provided treatment to another Palestinian who suffered a serious head injury from a shot fired by Israeli soldiers.

The injured man was later taken to a public hospital. Jenin although local sources claim that soldiers prevented the ambulances from arriving and opened fire on them.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the six deceased: Ahmed Muhammad Samoudi (24 years); Ayman Abdel Karim Abu Fadala (24 years); Muhammad Hazza Mar’i (32 years old);Mustafa Allam Marei (21 years old) and Ahmed Muhammad Abu Obaid (21 years).

The occupied West Bank is experiencing the greatest spiral of violence since the Second Intifada (2000-05), and so far, in 2024, at least 214 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, most of them alleged militiamen or attackers, but also civilians, including around 40 minors, according to EFE’s count, after closing 2023 as the deadliest year in two decades, with more than 520 deaths.

On the Israeli side, fourteen people died in 2024: twelve in nine Palestinian attacks, including six uniformed soldiers and six civilians (five of them settlers living in the West Bank); as well as a soldier in Jenin in January, who detonated an explosive with his vehicle, and a special forces police officer, fatally injured during an operation in Tulkarm in May.

The Israeli Army intensified its already frequent incursions into Occupied West Bank after the attack Hamas of October 7th and since then, at least 541 Palestinians have died in violent incidents with Israelmainly with troops and a dozen of them in the hands of colonists.
