USA: woman was sexually abused on a train in Pennsylvania and no one helped her

A man in Pennsylvania (USA) was accused of rape and sexual assault against a woman who was on board a public transport train last Wednesday night, October 13.

According to Telemundo, the passengers witnessed the incident, but did not intervene to help the victim.

It is known that she was assaulted around 11 pm while traveling on the Market-Frankford line of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) to the town of Upper Darby.

“The assault was observed by an employee, who called 911, which allowed the agents to respond immediately and detain the suspect on the spot”, SEPTA spokesman Andrew Busch said in a statement.

The authorities detained the subject identified as Son Ngoy 35 years. In addition, the surveillance video captured the assault in its entirety, providing enough evidence to charge the man.

However, the fact that is striking is that the passengers witnessed the assault and did nothing to help the woman.

“I am shocked, I have no words for it. I just can’t imagine seeing what they were seeing through their own eyes and seeing what this woman was going through, and no one stepping in and helping her. “Upper Darby Police Timothy Bernhardt told NBC Philadelphia.

The subject is detained without the possibility of leaving for a bail payment. In addition, the authorities hope that witnesses will appear to give their version of the events.

Regarding the victim, she was taken to the hospital for the injuries that she presented as a result of the attack.
