Arrested for attack on AICM linked to extortion, kidnapping and drug sales

The Secretariat of Citizen Security in coordination with the Secretariat of the Navy and personnel of the Investigative Police of the Capital Prosecutor’s Office managed to arrest four people, possibly related to the attack that occurred last Friday in the vicinity of the International Airport of the City of Mexico (AICM).

According to information provided by the preventive agency, the detainees are related to a criminal group dedicated to the extortion, kidnapping and drug sales.

The searches were carried out in homes located in the Benito Juárez, Cuauhtémoc and Iztacalco mayors after three search warrants were executed in which two women and two men, ages 21, 27, 22 and 30, were detained, possible members of a criminal group linked to the attack that occurred on October 15, in the vicinity of Terminal 2 of the AICM.

After obtaining various test data derived from intelligence work and field investigation, three addresses were detected, possibly related to the events, for which a control judge ordered the ministerial orders to carry out the investigations. searches in two homes.

The first was held in the colonia Xoco, from the Benito Juárez mayor’s office, where a 30-year-old man was arrested with about 101 packages with a white powder and a plastic bag with a green grass.

At the second address located at Exhipódromo de Peralvillo neighborhood About 180 bags were secured with a white powder and a gramera scale. The third property is located in the Iztacalco mayor’s office.

It should be noted that the three buildings were located photographs of one of the victims who were injured in the attack that occurred at the AICM on October 15.

The investigation works indicate that the detainees could be related to a criminal group dedicated to extortion, kidnapping, homicide and drug sales in the area.
