Poll for Elections in Chile: results of the latest CADEM poll

In the fight for Second round Jose Antonio Kast (21% + 3pts) went on to lead the presidential race in statistical tie with Gabriel Boric (20%) still winning in all possible scenarios. They are followed Yasna Provoste with 12% (-1pt) and Sebastian Sichel (7%), which again fell 3pts, completing a 17-point decline since July 30.

Below are located Franco Parisi (6%), Marco Enriquez Ominami (4%) and Eduardo Artés (3%, + 2pts). While 27% do not know, do not respond or would not vote, according to the Cadem poll. However, Boric prevails against all his possible rivals, as he beats Provoste by 4 points (39% vs. 35%), Sichel by 6 points (41% vs. 35%) and Kast by 8 points (43% vs. 35 %).

ABOUT THE LAST DEBATE

Facing the general elections in November, 62% say they have seen the last television debate and 52% rate it as fair, 22% as good or very good and 25% as bad or very bad. According to the poll, Kast emerged as the winner of the match with 32%, followed by Boric (17%) and Provoste (15%). Sichel (4%) and Artés (2%) were the worst performers.

MANAGEMENT BY SEBASTIÁN PIÑERA

In another area, 55% agree that the Government has decreed a state of exception in areas of La Araucanía and Biobío. For its part, the approval of the president Sebastian Piñera it reaches 16% and disapproval to 79%, unchanged from last week.

Regarding expectations, 36% (+ 2pts) believe that the Frente Amplio candidate will be the next president of Chile, now followed by Kast with 20% (+ 5pts), Provoste (16%, -1pt), and Sichel with 9% (-5pts).

BORIC EXCEEDS IN POSSIBLE SCENARIOS

In second round scenarios, Boric surpasses Provoste (39% vs 35%), Sichel (41% vs 35%) and Kast (43% vs 35%), while the representative of Nuevo Pacto Social would beat Sichel ( 40% vs 35%) and Kast (44% vs 36%). Lastly, if the dispute were between Sichel and Kast, the latter would prevail by 34% to 30%.

INSTITUTIONS AND INDUSTRIES ASSESSMENT

  • Confidence in the constituent convention falls this week to 42% (-5pts), while distrust rises to 55% (+ 3pts).
  • Meanwhile, Metro is the institution that generates the most trust, with 63%, 2pts less than in February, followed by universities (59%), national medicine laboratories (57%, -4pts), supermarkets (56%, – 7pts), international medicine laboratories (52%, -1pt) and clinics (51%, -3pts).
  • Cellular companies (48%, + 3pts), Fonasa (47%, -8pts), internet and cable companies (46%, + 4pts), basic water service companies (44%, -2pts), banks (43%, -1pts), malls and shopping centers (41%, + 5pts), mining companies (39%, -10pts), electricity basic services companies (39%, -2pts ), public hospitals (38%, -13pts), pharmacies (38%, -10pts), multi-stores (34%) and Transantiago (34%, -4pts).
  • Further behind are real estate and construction companies (31%, -7pts), forestry companies (27%, -13pts), highway and highway concessionaires (25%, -5pts), basic gas services companies (25% , -36pts), the Isapres (22%, -1pt) and the AFPs (17%, -6pts).
