Massive crash in Florida involves 15 vehicles and sends six to hospital

A large collision on a state highway in Florida (USA) that involved 15 vehicles and 24 people left six injured, the state Highway Patrol reported this Sunday.

The crash occurred on Saturday night in Seminole County, central Florida, and the six injured people had to be transferred to a nearby hospital, although without risk of death, the agency added.

According to preliminary information, the incident began when two cars driven by 18-year-olds collided, which according to some witnesses were going at high speed.

That crash sparked a chain-link collision involving 13 other cars, according to authorities, who are under investigation.

The young people who allegedly caused the massive crash had to be hospitalized for their injuries, according to local media WESH.
