Mexico: Neighbors worry about lion and dog in an abandoned house in Atizapán

The permanence of a lion and a dog in a house in Sayavedra County worries neighbors, because the “pets” are alone in an apparently uninhabited residence, for that reason they request the intervention of authorities of the Federal Attorney’s Office for Environmental Protection and the Attorney for Environmental Protection of the State of Mexico.

For several weeks, residents of this exclusive subdivision, have reported to the Sayavedra County Settlers Association the permanence of a lion and a dog in a house located in the windsor castle street, where the animals remain alone.

“Only a man comes to feed them, we are concerned about our safety”, because the lion is a young animal that could easily jump bars, which began to be seen about a month ago and in recent days a dog has also been observed that you could be at risk.

Therefore, residents of Sayavedra requested the intervention of Profepa and Propaem in order to supervise the conditions in which these animals are found and verify if the lion is not a risk for the community.
