However, his father, Octavio Pérez, in different statements to the press has been against the official versions. From his point of view, both the weapon with which he allegedly accidentally shot himself, as well as the alcohol and drugs that were found on him, were “planted” by the police.

“Do not ask me about weapons because that does not exist, those are things that they invented, of course it was something planted, it had someone to take care of it and they are the ones who bring weapons. I am devastated and this goes for all parents who have lost a child like me, our children are exposed by this policy that we have and by that police, who are corrupt, because that is what happened to my son ”, Octavio Pérez said angrily, also denying that there had been alcohol or drugs.

What is tetrahydrocannabinol?

Although the first versions of the police indicated that Octavio Ocana had consumed alcohol prior to the persecution with the police, the toxicological report pointed out that the young man also tested positive for tetrahidrocannabinol, a chemical derived from the cannabis O marijuana.

The THC, like cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the main substances of the marijuanaHowever, unlike the second, the tetrahidrocannabinol it is a psychotropic ingredient, that is, “it affects the functioning of the brain and causes changes in mood, perception, thoughts, feelings or behavior,” according to information from the National Cancer Institute of the United States.

Likewise, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the United States (NIH), the effects of THC through marijuana can be of relaxation, euphoria, anxiety, fear, distrust or panic .

Acute psychosis may also be experienced, including hallucinations, delusions, and loss of sense of personal identity. In more severe cases, THC can cause schizophrenia if you are vulnerable to the substance, highlights the NIH.

Likewise, depending on the type of toxicological test – point out the Centers for Addiction of the United States – chemical residues of marijuana can be found up to 90 days after its use.
