Inquiries by the authorities

Georgina Buckley, the prosecutor in the case, stated that the girl arrived at a hospital in Carmarthenshire with severe stomach pains.

One of the people who treated her asked her if she had had sexual intercourse or was pregnant. His answer was negative.

However, according to the accusing body and the hearings reviewed by the local Wales Online media, the minor would have mentioned to other patients that she did know about her pregnancy.

To the surprise of the doctors, the police interviewed her and her brother until they revealed the fact.

The case was transferred to Swansea Crown Court and there a statement was read from the minor, who, according to the aforementioned media, did not want to return home and hoped that her baby would have better living conditions.

“Fuzzy sexual boundaries”

Dean Pulling, The young man’s lawyer, based the defense on the fact that the minors had grown up in a family environment with “Difficult and dysfunctional circumstances, (…) dysfunctional, neglectful and potentially abusive parenting”, as reviewed by Wales Online.

It also pointed out that the defendant had been exposed to child pornography since the age of 10 and, without the guidance of his parents, had “Fuzzy sexual boundaries.”

“Children are the product of their upbringing and the environment to which they are exposed”, Pulling emphasized to the Tribunal.

Finally, the attorney invited the judicial body not to sentence the young man to jail, because, according to him, “The penalty would achieve little, but it would cost a lot.”

Now 16 years old, the brother pleaded guilty to the rape charges, that is, crimes for having sexual relations with a minor.

Judge Christopher Vosper sentenced the man to two years in a detention center for minors, where he will be supervised and must carry out some activity, be it work or study.
