New York judge sets trial for sexual abuse against Prince Andrew by the end of 2022

The judge of New York presiding over the case for alleged sexual abuse against him prince Andrew of England, who has been accused by an American woman, set the trial for the end of 2022 on Wednesday.

In a telematic hearing, the judge Lewis Kaplan decided that the process derived from the complaint filed this summer by Virginia Giuffre It occurs on a date – yet to be specified – between September and December of next year.

According to a document released today in the court of the Southern District of New York, lawyers for Giuffre and Prince Andrew will seek the statements of between eight and twelve witnesses, respectively, for the pre-trial proceedings.

Giuffre alleges that when she was 17 years old she was forced to have sex with the prince on the orders of Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased mogul accused of running a child sex trafficking ring connected to important figures in the world of economics and politics, and of his right hand, Ghislaine Maxwell.

The son of Elizabeth II of England has repeatedly denied the allegations and his lawyers have tried to have the case dismissed.

His defense has further alleged that Giuffre signed an agreement in 2009 with Epstein that exempted him from any accusation against him and against a long list of other people, including the Duke of York.
