Prison for a man accused of sexual abuse of 14 women in Colombia

The man, Luber Jamilton Noguera, offered informal transportation to women and once they got into their car, they diverted the route to lonely places, the Prosecutor’s Office reported this Saturday in a statement.

“There, he allegedly subdued and threatened them with a firearm, touched their private parts and forced them to perform sexual practices until accessing them”, assured the Prosecutor’s Office.

In addition, Noguera was posing as a member of the National Liberation Army (ELN) “To intimidate them by handing them over to that armed group if they did not agree to their claims.”

He also took the opportunity to steal their belongings and threatened to kill them if they reported it.

The Prosecutor’s Office imputes the crimes of aggravated violent carnal access, aggravated qualified theft, and manufacturing, trafficking and carrying firearms, among others.

The women, according to information from the Prosecutor’s Office, were between 30 and 40 years old and were mainly nursing assistants or lawyers. To date, 14 victims have been identified in events that occurred between 2020 and 2021.

SECOND CASE OF ABUSE

This same week, another court of Colombia also sent to preventive prison a man accused of having sexually abused at least 11 women in recent weeks in the Colombian city of Barranquilla (north).
