Biden’s approval falls to 41% due to expansion of the Delta variant of the coronavirus and inflation

The approval of the performance of the president of USA, Joe Biden, fell to 41% in November, a decline of 11 points from last March due to the expansion of the Delta variant of the coronavirus and inflation, the worst in 31 years in the country, revealed this Sunday a private survey.

Last september, the approval of the Democratic leader had been placed in 44% and in March of this year it added 52%, according to a poll released by The Washington Post and ABC News.

Since then, the disapproval of the management of the economy by the Government of Biden it has been growing, going from 41% in April to 55% in November.

This month, only 39% endorsed the economic management of the ruler.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the year-on-year rate of inflation soared in USA in October to 6.2%, the highest record since 1990, amid strong consumer demand and problems in global supply chains following the crisis caused by the pandemic.

Secondly, the negative perception about the management of the covid-19 pandemic grew, which has caused more than 760,000 deaths and infected more than 47 million people in the country.

In November, 49% disapproved of the government’s work to stop the pandemic, in contrast to 31% last April.

In parallel, support for Biden’s response to covid-19 dropped from 64% in April to 47% this month.

Despite the vaccination campaign led by the Democratic leader since his arrival at the White House, infections and hospitalizations due to the pandemic rebounded between late August and early September with the arrival of the delta variant.

In addition, the survey, carried out between November 7 and 10 among a random sample of 1,001 people, took the pulse of the environment ahead of the mid-term elections of November 2022, in which the Democrats play their majorities in both houses of Congress.

The study revealed that if those elections, also known as mid-term, were today, 51% of registered voters would support the Republican candidate in their district before Congress and 41% the Democrat.
