Search and evacuations continue in flood-stricken western Canada

The search for survivors continued this Thursday in western Canada, affected for several days by serious floods and landslides, while hundreds of people were evacuated from an isolated area due to rising waters.

Torrential rains that fell within hours since Sunday in British Columbia have caused landslides, destroyed roads and infrastructure and drowned entire cities.

According to local authorities, the preliminary balance is one person dead and thousands of evacuees.
