Regarding the results in the regional elections, he explained that, of 23 states in dispute, 21 already have final results and in 18 of them the PSUV won, although in the last count offered last night there were 20, in addition to Caracas.

Calzadilla also detailed the winning mayors in the main cities of the 23 states of the country, of which 20 were for the PSUV and the remaining three for the opposition.

Specifically, the opposition Democratic Action party was left with the capital of Guárico, and the Bureau of Democratic Unity (MUD) with those of Cojedes and Zulia.

Chavismo won the mayoralties in the capitals of the states Anzoátegui, Aragua, Barinas, Bolívar, Carabobo, Falcón, Lara, Mérida, Miranda, Monagas, Nueva Esparta, Portuguesa, Sucre, Táchira, Trujillo, Yaracuy, Amazonas, Delta Amacuro and La Guaira.

In Barinas, the ruling party Argenis Chávez – Hugo Chávez’s brother – had up to that moment 93,097 votes, which represents 37.05%, while Freddy Superlano (Table of Democratic Unity, MUD), has 92,424 votes, 36.79 % of the total.

In Táchira, Freddy Bernal (PSUV) had 136,779 votes, while the current governor, Laidy Gómez (Democratic Action), had 133,925 ballots.
