He also recognized the work of the electoral observers in this electoral process where the PSUV obtained 20 of the 23 states of Venezuela, including Caracas.

It also achieved 205 of the 322 mayoralties that already have confirmed results with 99.2% of the records transmitted, according to information from the National Electoral Council of Venezuela.

In the same way, former President Evo Morales also congratulated Venezuela for the “great triumph of Chavismo” in the regional elections.

“It is the victory of the Bolivarian Revolution Venezuela with its president Nicolás Maduro against the criminal blockade of the United States and its political operators,” Morales said on Twitter.

With 90.21% of the ballots scrutinized, the PSUV swept the elections on Sunday with what Chavismo improved the results of 2017, when it won in 18 states and Caracas.

Countries such as Cuba and Nicaragua have already congratulated the Venezuelan government for the results of the regional elections, which, together with Bolivia, are allies of Venezuela.

Participation in this regional electoral process was 41.8% according to data released by the National Electoral Council.

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asked respect for the results of the elections and celebrated the victory of his party, the PSUV.

“My call to everyone, winners and non-winners, is to respect the results, it is to political dialogue, it is to national reunification,” Maduro said after the election results were known.
