Mexico: priest asks women to “make tortillas” instead of participating in protests

Known as the ‘Father pistols’, for advising his parishioners to carry a weapon to defend themselves, the priest Alfredo Gallegos once again became the center of a controversy after making a call to the women so that they dedicate themselves to making tortillas instead of protesting for their rights in Mexico.

This week, according to the Millennium, the controversial priest of the parish of Chucándiro, in Morelia (Michoacan), called on the women who were demonstrating in the framework of the international day of Elimination of Violence Against Women to protest “peacefully”.

“Yes, you have a weapon: the love of us men and of society. Get ready to make tortillas, don’t buy Coca-Cola. Make fresh water, soups, tamales. Teach yourselves to be women “, he pointed.

Likewise, he assured that all people have the right to protest, but asked the protesters not to “they break glass. They even bring marros and torches. Instead of earning affection or respect, they earn contempt”, He expressed.

On the other hand, the priest also made comments about abortion; asking women not to terminate their pregnancy.

“They do not have the right to kill a child. Ay, women, I love you very much, you are the base of society. They are sacrificed, have children (…) do not abort ”he said during a ceremony in the Mexican state.

This is not the first time that Galicians have comments of this type. As is known, a few weeks ago, during the celebration of a mass, he suggested to his devotees to carry a weapon to protect themselves from criminals.

He himself revealed that he was carrying a long gun. We must defend our life! ”, He said euphoric while criticizing the government. “Why do they bring and we don’t?”, culminated.
