Italy: the number of vaccinated increases after the sanitary certificate, the Super Green Pass, became more strict

The number of doses of the vaccine against coronavirus COVID-19 on Italy It increased notably in the last week, according to data published today, days after the Government imposed a more restrictive health certificate before Christmas.

The graphs of the Ministry of Health establish that between November 22 and 28, in the last week, 1,802,562 doses of the drug have been punctured, while the previous period, from November 15 to 21, were 1,400,233.

In addition, the first doses have increased by 40%. This Sunday 28,385 were inoculated and 28,018 yesterday, while the average of a week ago was about 17,000 injections.

In the Lazio region (center), with its capital in Rome, there has been an “important boost” to the vaccination campaign and only yesterday, Saturday, 4,000 first doses were punctured, twice the average, reported its Minister of Health, Alessio D’Amato.

On Wednesday the Government announced a series of measures to encourage vaccination, the first one a “reinforced” version of the health certificate, the document that states that you have been vaccinated, passed the disease or have a negative test and that in Italy is required for work and for leisure.

The new version of this pass, known as the “Green Pass”, will now only be granted to those who have been vaccinated or have been cured, which in practice results in the exclusion of work and leisure for those who are not vaccinated or healed. .

The “Súper Green Pass”Will be in force throughout the country between December 6 and January 15, to protect Christmas, while afterwards it will only be used if a region passes into a zone of mild or moderate risk (yellow and orange zone).

In addition, among other things, after health workers and workers in nursing homes, the Government has imposed vaccination on teachers, security forces and administrators of these sectors.

In Italy, 45.6 million people have already completed the cycle, 84.45% of the population over 12 years of age, and 361,155 have been cured, while the booster dose is already being inoculated.
