The hero boy who at the age of 11 saved two people in the same day in the United States

Doubly hero.

An 11-year-old boy from Oklahoma, U.S, was awarded on December 15 for saving the life, not one, but two people in the same day.

Davyon Johnson He was made an honorary member of both the sheriff’s office and the police force and was recognized by the board of education in his hometown of Muskogee, located about 50 miles southeast of Tulsa.

“Davyon performed the Heimlich maneuver on a classmate on Dec. 9 and that night he helped a woman get away from her burning house,” the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook.

The Heimlich maneuver is a first aid procedure by performing abdominal thrusts on a person who is choking.

Meanwhile, the Muskogee Public School posted a series of photos also on Facebook showing Davyon posing with his accolades.

“I felt good, I’m excited”said the boy after receiving the award.

How were the rescues?

Davyon Johnson was at Muskogee Public School, which he attends in sixth grade, on Dec. 9 when one of his classmates was trying to loosen the cap of a water bottle with his mouth and choked.

“Davyon ran immediately and did the Heimlich maneuver,” school principal Latricia Dawkins told the newspaper. Enid News & Eagle.

“According to the eyewitness account, when it did, the bottle cap came off,” he added.

The boy said, for his part, that I had learned the maneuver on YouTube and that it is a valuable procedure to learn.

“In case I find you in the situation in which I found myself, you can know what to do,” he assured the same newspaper.

Principal Dawkins added that she was not surprised by Davyon’s quick reaction.

“He always says he wants to be an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), he said.

But the boy’s good deed did not end there that day.

Just hours later, Johnson spotted a disabled lady escaping a fire at her home and ran to help her out of the driveway and into her vehicle.

“I thought, ‘It’s not moving fast enough.’ So I ran across the street and helped her into her truck, ”Davyon told the Tulsa News on 6 channel.

Principal Dawkins said the boy is well loved by his peers and teachers.

“He is a kind soul” and “doubly hero”Dawkins said.
