The WHO does not achieve the goal of 40% vaccinated against the coronavirus in all countries this year

The objective of getting 40% of the population in all the countries of the world to be vaccinated against the coronavirus COVID-19 by the end of 2021, set by the World Health Organization (WHO), will not be achieved, since 92 countries will not reach that rate, lamented today the director general of the organization.

“It is time to be above short-term nationalisms and protect populations and vaccines against future variants of the coronavirus”, he added, underlining that “ending inequality in the distribution of vaccines is key to ending the pandemic.”
