In Berlin, the weekly incidence level stands at 1,258.3 cases, well above the national average.

The 140,160 new cases verified in the last 24 hours by the RKI represent a new record in the entire pandemic and a strong rebound compared to the 92,223 registered a week ago.

The daily number of fatalities with or due to covid-19, on the other hand, has dropped and stands at 170 deaths, compared to 286 on Friday of the previous week.

Likewise, there has been an increase in hospital admissions, which now stands at 3.56 for seven days and 100,000 inhabitants, compared to the 3.34 reported the previous day. This represents a greater burden for the country’s hospitals, although it does not overload the ICUs, since they are mostly admitted to regular care units.
