The price of the US dollar in Colombia operated this Thursday amid a global decline in the US currency and a drop in oil prices, after several days of volatility due to tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

The price of the dollar in Colombia for this Thursday, March 10, 2022 is 3,743 Colombian pesos, according to Reuters data.

Oil slumped on Wednesday after reports that the United Arab Emirates will ask OPEC members to increase output, which could ease some of the supply strains caused by sanctions on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the dollar index, which compares the US currency against a basket of six currencies, fell around 1.2% the day before.

In the Colombian stock market, the MSCI COLCAP stock index erased initial losses and ended with a rise of 0.15% to 1,537.52 points in the previous day.
