Work-study: employment assistance extended until 2027

A flagship measure of 2020 and a star measure for students working and studying: apprenticeship assistance for companies has contributed to the development of this way of learning in France. On December 2, Minister of Labour, Full Employment and Integration Olivier Dussault announced the extension of the aid until December 31, 2023.

Then this Thursday, January 5, President Emmanuel Macron announced the extension of this assistance for a longer period and under the same conditions: 6,000 euros in company assistance for all candidates under the age of 30 during the first year of the contract. This announcement was made on the occasion of the famous galette des rois at the beginning of the year at the Elysee Palace in front of the master bakers, the best workers of France and the best students of France, the winners of the Rabelais of young talents. la gastronomy, students of professional secondary schools, as well as ambassadors who accompanied the recognition of the baguette at UNESCO.

The purpose of this measure is to draw attention to companies that would like to have long-term measures at the heart of their business plans and hiring policies. But it is also a very strong signal for families, students and parents who are thinking about their future learning in the long term, especially with Parcoursup reopening in a few days.

Carol Granjean, Minister Delegate in charge of Vocational Education and Training, also shared a press release to officially confirm the news: “Tutorials are no longer something exclusive, they are becoming a strong and lasting lever for the full employment of our youth.” This year, 800,000 contracts have been signed and we continue to aim to have one million students per year by 2027.”
