Wall Street closes in red and the Dow Jones falls 0.65%

Wall Street closed this Friday in red and the Dow Jones Industrials, its main indicator, fell 0.65%, as the possibility of a recession worries investors again.

Upon completion of operations in New York, the Dow Jones it lost 33,727 points, while the selective S&P 500 fell 0.77%, to 4,348 integers.

The Nasdaq market composite index, in which most of the most important technology companies are listed, subtracted 1.01% and ended at 13,492 units.

Several central banks have indicated this week that their main objective is to fight inflation and that they will continue raising rates to counteract it, which worries investors.

By sectors, red reigned and the greatest gains were for public services and essential goods, which subtracted 1.51% and 1.1%, respectively.

Among the 30 Dow Jones stocks, red also predominated and the companies with the highest losses were for Cisco (-1.55%) and Walgreens (-1.54%), while the largest gains were for Intel (0.89% ) and Merck (0.77%).

In other markets, Texas oil closed at US$ 69.16 a barrel, and at the close of the stock market the yield on the ten-year US bond fell to 3.739%, gold rose to US$ 1,929 an ounce and the dollar gained ground against to the euro, with a change of 1,089.
