“We are not living under the worst-case scenario”: highway toll prices will increase from February 1

This is a winter classic. Toll rates are subject to annual review, as stipulated in contracts between the government and concession companies. The price increase will take place from February 1, regardless of whether farmers block the roads or not. Motorists will pay more for their journeys this Thursday.

At the same time, the average revision of fares is +3.02% for the APRR network, +3.04% for the AREA network. “These changes essentially take into account underlying inflation and compensation for investments not planned under contracts signed in 2006 or imposed by the state,” says the Eiffage group, which, through its subsidiaries APRR and AREA, manages 2,323 km of highways covering mainly central and eastern regions of France.
