Aeroméxico would file for bankruptcy in 2021

In a report released through the Mexican Stock Exchange, the airline estimates revenues of US $ 3,256 million in 2022 and US $ 4,156 million in 2023, while its earnings before financial income, taxes, depreciation, amortization and restructuring – known as EBITDAR in English — it would be around $ 733 million next year and $ 1.025 million in 2023.

The company has a plan to exit bankruptcy for about US $ 1.2 billion that includes capital contributions and debt from various sources, and which it will use to refinance two tranches of the DIP loan it received months ago and to increase its operations.

Aeromexico It estimates to transport some 31 million passengers in 2025, compared to 20 million in 2019, prior to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its fleet size would be 140 aircraft next year to reach 154 units by 2025, according to the company’s plan. Aeromexico will focus on narrow-body aircraft for its growth, although it will have 21 wide-body aircraft in four years.
