Millions of people affected? This Wednesday, France Travail suffered a cyber attack. The hack of the National Employment Agency (formerly Pôle emploi) could affect 43 million people.
The government operator states in a press release that “the database, which may have been illegally obtained, contains personal data of people currently registered, people previously registered in the last 20 years, as well as people not registered on the list of job seekers, but which take place for candidates on the website Francetravail.fr. Thus, the personal data of 43 million people was potentially stolen.”
As the Paris Olympics approach, France is once again under massive cyber attack. Three days ago, several government services were hit by computer attacks of “unprecedented intensity” but the impact was thought to be limited.
