Air Travel: Alltheway will collect your luggage from your home and check it in.

What if checking your luggage at the airport was no longer a hassle or stress? The very new Alltheway, created in 2022, is designed to simplify your life. Carrying one or more bulky suitcases in a taxi, RER or metro to the airport with children in tow can quickly turn into a nightmare. “In a sense, we bring the airport to your home or collection points,” sums up Emily Gazo. In her missions for hotel group Accor and Air France, the startup co-founder noted that “baggage management [était] real problem. »

To remedy this, Alltheway offers two services. The first concerns six baggage check-in points (city hubs) installed in seven Parisian hotels or nearby suburbs (Pullman Paris La Défense, Pullman Bercy, Mercure Tour Eiffel, Mercure Gare Montparnasse, Novotel Les Halles, Novotel Paris Est, Novotel Tour Eiffel). . You must first visit the website to make an appointment. Slots are available every ten minutes. After entering all the flight parameters and the amount of luggage, you will be allocated a slot. And also the amount to be paid. Allowed 25 euros for the first piece of luggage and 15 euros for an additional piece.

Approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

A sworn officer will be waiting for you on site at a clearly identifiable yellow terminal to complete formalities, weigh-in and check-in. For this important step, which must be completed thirty to four hours before departure, it is, of course, necessary to have your tickets and identification document with you. Before your eyes, your belongings are sealed and a tracking system approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) is installed. It provides you with real-time monitoring on the service provider’s website. All you have to do is go to the terminal on the big day and register.

You can also pick up the money at your home. You will have to go to the site again to provide all the information. You will be charged a flat rate of €65 for two suitcases and €15 for an additional one.

The service is currently only available for flights operated by Air France from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. It is due to expand to low-cost airline Transavia, a subsidiary of Air France, by May. A registration point is expected to open at Gare du Nord in the weeks leading up to the Olympic Games by the end of spring. Regarding baggage size, check-in is subject to the rules applicable to your ticket (usually 23 kg in economy class and 32 kg in business class).
