After almost three years, business expectations about the Peruvian economy have returned to the optimistic range. The survey, carried out by the Central Reserve Bank, reveals that for the month of March the indicator stands at 51 points when in February it was 47 points.
It should be remembered that this survey considers optimistic when the result is above 50 points. The last time this indicator was in an optimistic range was in April 2021.

It should be noted that business expectations indicators showed mixed results in March compared to the previous month. “Most of the current situation indicators, as well as those of 3-month expectations, recovered”, highlights the entity. The return of confidence to the optimistic range reflects an improvement in the future perception of senior executives and analysts, which is correlated with investment forecasts.
The expectations that today are in an optimistic range correspond to the economy, to the sector (in which the respondent works), the situation of the company, the demand for its products, the hiring of personnel and the investment of its company.
Meanwhile, those results that reflect the current situation do present mixed indicators. Those that reflect the business situation, demand, purchase orders and days of inventory.
