The price of the electricity bill this January is already the most expensive since 2008. The Government is confident that the wind will improve and allow the rise to be lightened, but there are some tricks to contain
The price of electricity is at a maximum of 12 years and the only solution offered by the Government is to entrust itself to the turn of the wind which, foreseeably, will take place next Monday and which could allow a significant reduction. But in the meantime, users will have to face an increase in their bills, and therefore it is important to know how the impact can be minimized.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE ENERGY LABELS
The information regarding the energy efficiency of the Appliances marketed in Spain can be found on the energy label that must appear at the time of sale.
It is advisable to fill both washing machines and dishwashers to the maximum
THE INDUCTION PLATE IS THE MOST EFFICIENT
For cooking, the most recommended is the induction hob as it consumes less energy than the Vitro ceramic and gas. Also, you can save by cooking with the cookware with the correct diameter and using lids that help conserve heat.
KEEP THE REFRIGERATOR AT THE OPTIMAL TEMPERATURE
The most optimal temperatures are between 3 and 7 and that of the freezer between -20 and -18. Regularly remove any frost that may accumulate in the freezer. Failure to do so can increase energy consumption by 30%. Try to put food as hot as possible in the freezer since this supposes an extra effort for the freezer that increases the consumption.
USE LOW CONSUMPTION BULBS
A 60W incandescent bulb has a consumption of 0.06 Kw, while its equivalent in a 7W LED bulb only consumes 0.007 Kw.
USE HEATING EFFICIENTLY
Make sure you keep your home at the temperature you really need. It is best to keep the house in winter between 19ºC and 20ºC and between 24º and 26º in summer.
TURN OFF UNUSED PLUGS The ‘stand by’ mode or false shutdown can represent 10% of the electric bill. Remember to unplug the chargers as they continue to consume power after use.
