Lima Stock Exchange ends the session with mixed results

The Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) ended this Thursday with mixed results in its main indicators, with falls in key sectors and advances in others.

At the end of the operations, the S&P/BVL Peru General Index, the most representative of the Lima stock market, did not register changes and remained at 22,548.83 points.

For its part, the S&P/BVL Peru Selective Index, which is made up of the most traded shares in the local market, rose by 0.71% and stood at 606.84 units.

The selective index is far from the historical maximum reached in mid-January when it reached 633.49 points.

By sectors, the gains were led by industrial (2.98%), construction (0.63%) and consumer (0.31%). In contrast, the mining (-1.28%), electricity (-0.61%), services (-0.60%) and financial (-0.36%) items fell.

Among the shares that rose the most on the stock market this Thursday were Sociedad Minera Corona (15.00%), Ferreycorp (8.68%), Southern Peru Copper Corporation (5.00%), Luz del Sur (4.63 %) and Hydrandine (2.84%).

On the other side of the table were the papers of Casa Grande (-5.85%), Southern Copper Corporation (-1.97%), Enel Generación Perú (-1.82%), Fondo Bursátil Van Eck El Dorado Perú ETF (-1.27%) and Cementos Pacasmayo (-1.22%).
