Stephanie Cayo defends her participation in the first Netflix film recorded in Peru

After the wave of criticism she has received for her participation in the Netflix movie “Until we meet again”, the Peruvian actress Stephanie Cayo came forward to clarify that in the film she does not represent the “Andean” woman; as she described Vogue Mexico website article.

Through her official Twitter account, the national actress referred to the film in which she stars alongside Maxi Iglesias, and assured that the purpose of the Netflix film is to make Peru known to the world.

I do not represent an Andean woman. But here I was born. HQNVAE (‘Until we meet again’) is not a film that seeks to represent Andean women. It is a romantic story of two boys who meet in our beautiful Peru and have an unforgettable trip”he specified in a first tweet.

Likewise, Stephanie Cayo also responded to criticism and claimed to be proud to star in the first film recorded entirely in Peru.

I’ll give you some advice, I didn’t get ahead by speaking ill of others. I was very busy working on what I like (since I’m 9 years old). I no longer have the braids or the big teeth, but I am the same girl with ‘impossible’ dreams. I am very proud of this movie”, Gaius wrote.

Recorded in various locations in Cusco, Puno and Paracas, “Until we meet again” will also feature the participation of Wendy Ramos, Vicente Vergara, Renata Flores, Mayella Lloclla, Carlos Carlín, Amiel Cayo, Anaí Padilla, Jely Reategui, Nicolás Galindo, among other prominent national actors.
