Afrodisiaco returns to the music scene after two years of absence with “Borracha cha” | VIDEO

After two years of absence, Afrodisiaco, a band led by Koky Bonilla, returns to the music scene with the song “Borracha cha”. The song, whose authorship corresponds to Ricky Majka and Amadeo Gaviria, was born in the summer of this year.

”We have the participation of the original voice of the song. We thought it was a good idea to recreate those years in the early 2000s where rock for dancing became very popular.”, highlights Koky about this release.

He also explains that “Borracha Cha”, due to the rhythm and style of the version, is a fusion of rock, ska with a hit of Cha Cha Cha. And he also leads a Santana-style guitar solo; something that we thought was very good for the new style of this song”.

Afrodisiaco chose the cities of Cuzco and Huaraz for its return to the stage after two years of musical hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

”There was a lot of emotion, after two years of force away from the stage. The public received us incredible, singing and dancing our songs”, assures Bonilla.

“It’s a good time for the band, digital platforms brought us closer to the people. Spotify and YouTube skyrocketed in the pandemic, all the songs from the series and novels became more popular and now when we play live everyone sings them and gets much more excited than before”, he concludes.
