“Suzume no Tojimari”, the Makoto Shinkai film, will be distributed by Crunchyroll

The new tape makoto shinkai“Suzume no Tojimari”, will be distributed globally by Crunchyroll from the beginning of 2023. The agreement was finalized within the framework of the Cannes Film Festival, which opened last Tuesday.

“Suzume no Tojimari” will be released this November 11 in Japan, and will be distributed to other countries around the world in early 2023. In Latin America, Crunchyroll will join forces with Sony Pictures Entertainment to screen the film.

Crunchyroll’s Head of Content, Asa Suehira; Wild Bunch International CEO Vincent Maraval; and Akihiro Takeda of TOHO were in charge of closing the distribution agreement. Meanwhile, the rights are handled worldwide by the Japanese film production company TOHO.
