Disney + released the first preview of the live action of “Pinocchio” with Tom Hanks

The animated classic”Pinocchio” returns to the scene at the hands of Robert Zemeckis, who will make a mix of live action with 3D animation for his new official production on Disney +, which has already released its first preview.

This first trailer for the film, which will arrive exclusively on the platform, shows Tom Hanks in the role of Geppetto, the carpenter who built Pinocchio, a character who will be voiced by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth.

The “Pinocchio” movie will be available on September 8, the same date on which the Disney+ Day global celebration will take place, which will introduce us to D23. This last one is the great event of the company directed towards the amateur public that will take place in California, United States.

To the delight of fans, Disney + presented the official trailer and poster for “Pinocchio” on Tuesday. Like the classic tale, the plot begins with Gepetto’s desire to be the father of a real boy, after building a wooden doll with a pointed nose. In other scenes you can see memorable characters like Jiminy Cricket and the fairy that gives him life.

In addition to Tom Hanks in the role of Pinocchio’s father, the cast includes actors such as Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket; Cynthia Erivo as the blue fairy; Keegan-Michael Key as Honest Juan; Lorraine Bracco as Sofia the Seagull; Luke Evans as the coachman; Kyanne Lamaya as Fabiana her puppet, Sabina; Giuseppe Battiston as Mr. Stromboli; and Lewin Lloyd as Moth.

Zemeckis directed and is also listed as a producer alongside Derek Hogue, Andrew Miano, Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz. Jackie Levine, Jack Rapke, Alexandra Derbyshire and Jeremy Johns are executive producers.
